InRento enters Italy - the first project was fully funded in just over an hour
Investor appetite for our Sicilian boutique hotel confirmed the direction of the southern European portfolio.
The first Italian project on the InRento platform was fully funded in just over an hour - our boutique hotel conversion in Catania, Sicily.
Speed of funding is not the achievement in itself, but it is a useful signal. It told us that investors read the same thing in the project that we did: a historic building in a city that is being rediscovered, converted carefully rather than gutted, and operated as a four-star property with a small number of rooms.
It also confirmed the direction of the southern European portfolio. A second Catania hotel followed, and the two projects are now developed as a pair, sharing suppliers, local partners and the same standard of finish.
